When talking about sustainable development, these are the successes of SIPOL®, a chemical company based in Mortara, Italy, specialised in the synthesis of high-performance polymers for the adhesive and techno-polymers sector. In particular, the footwear world has always represented one of the company’s principal reference markets, for which they have a complete range of hotmelt, TECHNIPOL® co-polyester and TECHNIPOL® PA co-polyamide thermoplastic adhesives.
Both of the product families are an example of the evolution towards increased environmental sustainability promoted by SIPOL®.
The development of the hotmelt, TECHNIPOL®, tin-free co-polyester and the introduction of green polyamides in the TECHNIPOL® PA range, has enabled them to use (> 80%) monomers from renewable sources and biomass of vegetable origin, not destined for human consumption.
Furthermore, SIPOL®, is also UNI EN ISO 9001:2008 and UNI EN ISO 14001:2004 certified; the company has been positively evaluated by the EcoVadis programme,and has also received the certificate for the use of energy from 100% renewable sources, for the year 2015.
